If you're passionate about contributing to essential infrastructure and want to grow in a fast-paced, impactful environment, this is an excellent opportunity to do meaningful work.</p><p></p><p>The Generator Technician will diagnose, repair, and maintain natural gas generators, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation. Crimson Group provides total integration of design, project management, panel manufacturing, <span >installation/commissioning,</span> maintenance, and repair for North America and select international markets.</p><p><br><br></p><p>What we Offer:</p><ul><li>Competitive hourly compensation.</li><li>Comprehensive benefit package and RRSP plan.</li><li>A company laptop and cell phone reimbursement.</li><li>An environment of continuous learning with the opportunity to enhance your skills & experience and grow within the organization.</li><li>The opportunity to participate in charitable events through our charity, RedTail Community Foundation.</li></ul><p></p><p>What you will be Doing:</p><ul><li>Performing advanced inspections, diagnostics, and modifications on natural gas generators and related electrical equipment.</li><li>Troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical issues involving engines, generators, and control systems.</li><li>Interpreting and adjusting breaker and relay settings, ensuring alignment with electrical distribution standards.</li><li>Using test instruments (multimeters, ammeters, megohmmeters) to diagnose and verify equipment performance.</li><li>Conducting preventive maintenance including testing of batteries, fuel, coolant, and oil.</li><li>Reading and interpreting electrical wiring diagrams, schematics, and mechanical drawings.</li><li>Disassembling clean, inspect, and reassemble generator components with minimal supervision.</li><li>Testing all completed repairs to confirm proper function and reliability.</li><li>Documenting work performed and maintaining accurate electronic records.</li><li>Assisting in training junior technicians on troubleshooting and repair procedures.</li><li>Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area.</li></ul><p><br><br></p><p>Your Skills and Qualifications:</p><ul><li>5+ years of hands-on experience in power generation service and repair.</li><li>Experience with natural gas engines, preferably Caterpillar or Jenbacher units.</li><li>Strong understanding of electrical systems, including breakers, transformers, relays, and distribution.</li><li>Excellent troubleshooting and technical diagnostic skills.</li><li>Ability to interpret complex schematics and electrical diagrams.</li><li>Proficient in the use of computers and maintenance software.</li><li>Strong communication and customer service skills.</li><li>High integrity, attention to detail, and a self-motivated, safety-first attitude.</li><li>Ability to travel on a rotation schedule as required.</li><li>Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and use all appropriate safety equipment.</li></ul><p></p><p>**As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and professional work environment, the Crimson Group of Companies conducts comprehensive background checks and drug and alcohol testing on all prospective employees as part of the final offer process.
