General Manager
Our client is a busy and growing, established consumer goods manufacturing business in the Vancouver area.
They are looking for a General Manager to oversee the business operations, strategic direction and leadership of the company.
Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership and direction for the business, ensuring cost targets are met
- Ensure full compliance with safety, quality, regulatory, and environmental standards
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and capital expenditure plans
- Lead, coach, and develop management and supervisory teams across the business; foster a strong performance and accountability culture
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, waste reduction, and process optimization
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions as needed
- Ensure a safe, clean, and organized work environment across all departments
- Other as required
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field
- 7-10 years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing or a regulated manufacturing environment (consumer goods, food, beverage, pharma or related preferred)
- Proven experience managing large teams, budgets, and complex operations
- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple priorities
