Job Title: Firewall Specialist
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Firewall Specialist to support, monitor, and configure enterprise Firewall and DMZ infrastructure. The role focuses on optimizing firewall rule sets, ensuring secure network operations, and supporting the development and enhancement of networking and security solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, configure, and maintain Firewall and DMZ infrastructure
- Optimize and manage firewall rule sets to improve security and performance
- Support day-to-day firewall operations, incident resolution, and change implementation
- Analyze network traffic and troubleshoot security and connectivity issues
- Collaborate with network, security, and development teams to enhance security controls
- Participate in the design and improvement of networking and security products
- Ensure adherence to security standards, policies, and best practices
Mandatory Skills & Qualifications
✅ Hands-on experience supporting and configuring Firewall and DMZ infrastructure, including rule set optimization
✅ Strong operational knowledge of enterprise firewalls, including at least one of the following:
- Fortinet
- Palo Alto
- Cisco Firewalls
✅ Working knowledge of networking protocols, including:
- HTTP / HTTPS
- FTP
- TCP/IP
✅ Experience in software development using C or C++
✅ Experience in the development of networking or security products
Preferred Skills & Certifications (Optional)
- Programming experience in Java, Python, or Perl
- CCNA or equivalent certification
- Experience working in complex enterprise or high-availability environments
