<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p><p>Hazen is currently seeking applicants for a mid-to-senior level Electrical Engineer for a full-time employment opportunity in our Calgary office. Prospective applicants must have 15+ years of experience in industrial electrical engineering and design. Prospective applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an institution accredited by CEAB or a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution. Prospective applicants must be registered with APEGA as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.). Ability to register in other provinces, as well as to obtain Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in the United States, is also desired.</p><p>Candidate will provide electrical engineering and design for water and wastewater facility projects, serving as lead electrical engineer when required. Qualified candidate must have knowledge in industrial power design, including medium and low voltage electrical power distribution, motor control, VFDs, lighting systems, equipment layout and related activities. Candidate must have a good working knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) or National Electrical Code (NEC) and other related Codes. Candidate must possess strong communication skills, including ability to interact with clients, contractors, and other engineers. </p><p>Responsibilities Include:</p><ul><li>Supervision of less experienced staff on a project</li><li>Coordination with engineers of other disciplines</li><li>Conducting field inspections of completed installations</li><li>Conducting field visits as part condition assessments and/or design information gathering</li><li>Engagement in Business Development activities such as proposal preparation and fee/scope development. Fill the role of Project Manager for selected Electrical projects.</li></ul><p> Additional Qualifications Required:</p><ul><li>Experience and proficiency with AutoCAD software</li><li>Experience and proficiency with SKM and/or ETAP software</li><li>Working knowledge of Revit BIM software</li><li>Project leadership experience, preferably on larger projects</li></ul><p><strong>Please submit resume and cover letter.</strong></p></p></p></p>
