In this role, you’ll bridge software development and IT operations to enable faster, more reliable software delivery. You’ll focus on automating and streamlining code integration, testing, deployment, and monitoring processes to improve efficiency and reduce errors.</p><p>As our DevOps Engineer, you’ll build strong collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders to manage application infrastructure and code deployments across development, testing, and production environments. You’ll use your problem-solving skills to troubleshoot automation issues and optimize system performance, all while keeping a results-oriented focus on reliability, scalability, and reducing time-to-market for software solutions.</p><h3>About Your Day</h3><ul><li>Automate system tasks using Python, PowerShell, Azure CLI, Azure Functions, and Logic Apps to improve reliability and reduce manual effort.</li><li>Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines across Azure DevOps and Dynamics 365, including environment configurations, approval workflows, and automated build/deployment processes.</li><li>Monitor system health and performance using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Azure Workbooks, and tagging practices; analyze metrics to support troubleshooting and optimization.</li><li>Design and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and ARM templates, ensuring reusable and scalable deployments.</li><li>Support containerized applications in Kubernetes and Docker for business-as-usual operations and deployments.</li><li>Deploy applications using standard rollout methods and traffic routing tools such as Azure Front Door.</li><li>Ensure security and compliance during deployments using Azure Policy, Defender for Cloud, and vulnerability scanning tools.</li><li>Manage source control and code quality through code reviews, branching strategies, and version control across platforms like Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Azure, Shopify, and custom solutions.</li><li>Integrate CRM workflows with Azure services to enhance data flow and task automation.</li><li>Support governance in Power Platform environments, including user roles and data loss prevention (DLP) policies.</li><li>Monitor cloud costs and optimize resources using Azure Advisor and cost tagging strategies.</li><li>Participate in incident response and post-incident reviews to drive continuous improvement and system resilience.</li></ul><h3>About You</h3><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.</li><li>5+ years of experience in DevOps role, with recent experience managing Microsoft environments</li><li>Hands-on experience managing Azure infrastructure across multiple regions.</li><li>Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, including environment setup and secure handling of deployment artifacts.</li><li>Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM Templates)</li><li>Experience with Azure services (AKS, App Services, Azure Functions, Event Grid, Front Door).</li><li>Experience Integrating security gates and compliance checks using tools (e.g. SonarQube, Gitleaks, Trivy, Azure Defender) into build and release stages.</li><li>Experience enforcing governance policies using Azure Policy and subscription-level controls.</li><li>Experience working with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O), including environment setup and code deployment.</li><li>Experience supporting Power Platform development and deployment using Azure DevOps.</li><li>Strong working knowledge of coding languages and frameworks (e.g., BASH, PowerShell, Python, SpringBoot, RabbitMQ, REACT, MSSQL, MySQL, COSMOS, Synapse, ADF, Databricks, ELK).</li><li>Proven ability to automate everyday manual tasks using scripting (e.g., BASH, PowerShell, Python, zsh).</li><li>Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, integrating vulnerability scanning, secrets management, and secure coding standards.</li><li>Understanding of Azure security features including RBAC, Key Vault, and Private Endpoints.</li><li>Familiarity with service reliability concepts such as SLAs, error budgets, performance tracking.</li><li>Familiarity with data migration strategies, dual-write, and virtual entities between F&O, CRM, and Dataverse.</li><li>Demonstrated problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.</li><li>Proven ability to identify system inefficiencies, performance bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement</li><li>Self-starter with the ability to quickly learn new tools and products.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written documentation skills.</li></ul><h3>About the Job</h3><ul><li>This position currently offers a fully remote work schedule. The in-office requirement is depending on business needs). The OCS office is located near York Mills and Yonge St. However, OCS reserves the right to change this policy and its office location at any time.</li><li>Hours of Work: 36.25 a week</li><li>Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent</li><li>Required Travel: Rare, usually within the GTA</li></ul><h3>Compensation</h3><p>The target hiring range for this position is $100,000-$115,000. This is a pay grade 7 role, with a salary range of $82,623.96 - $123,507.59.
