Cook (2 Month Contract) $960+ WEEKLY

Key Requirements:

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus, special diets, and nutritional guidelines for seniors in care.

• Ensure meals are prepared safely, timely, and presented in an appealing manner.

• Follow food safety regulations, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation practices.

• Coordinate with dietary staff to meet individual resident needs and preferences.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, storage, and food prep areas.

• Assist with inventory management, including ordering and receiving food supplies.

• Maintain records as required (e.g., temperature logs, cleaning checklists).

• Follow all facility and health authority protocols and safety procedures.

• 
  Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a cook in a healthcare or long-term care setting preferred.

  • Knowledge of dietary requirements for seniors, including texture modifications and special diets.

  • Food Safety Certificate

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Compassionate and respectful approach when working around seniors and vulnerable populations.

  • Clear criminal record check, including vulnerable sector (may be required depending on location).
