<p>Location: Okotoks, AB (in-person preferred)<br><br>Hours: Part-time (approx.15-20hrs/week, flexible)<br><br>Pay: $17–$20/hr depending on experience</p><p>Overview</p><p>We're <em>Natura Soylights</em> — a Canadian candle and home fragrance company based in Okotoks, AB. For over 20 years, we've created hand-poured soy candles and natural lifestyle products using pure, plant-based ingredients.</p><p>We're looking for a creative, organized, and coachable Content & Marketing Assistant to help us share our story across social media, email, and other marketing platforms. This is a great opportunity for a high school or post-secondary student, or a recent graduate looking to gain hands-on marketing experience in a small, supportive business environment.</p><p>Duties</p><ul><li>Create and edit short-form video content and photos for Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms</li><li>Assist with designing visuals and writing captions or short-form copy</li><li>Help with email setup and design using tools like Klaviyo (training provided)</li><li>Support updates to our Shopify website or marketing apps as needed</li><li>Maintain a content calendar to keep marketing projects on track</li><li>Participate in creative brainstorming and seasonal campaign planning</li><li>Learn to interpret simple marketing data (email open rates, post performance, etc.)</li><li>Take feedback openly and pivot quickly when direction or priorities change</li></ul><p>Requirements</p><ul><li>Interest in marketing, communications, or digital media (student or entry-level welcome)</li><li>Some experience with Canva, CapCut, Figama or similar design tools</li><li>Strong communication skills and an eye for detail</li><li>Comfortable learning new apps or tools (Shopify, Klaviyo, social schedulers)</li><li>Organized, dependable, and accountable for completing tasks</li><li>Coachable, open to feedback, and able to pivot when things change</li><li>Bonus: experience with photography, short videos, or managing a social media account</li></ul><p>Why You'll Love Working With Us</p><ul><li>Flexible hours around school or other work, although Monday to Friday business hours are a must to create content.</li><li>Real-world marketing experience in a creative, small-business setting</li><li>Work directly with the owner (and founder) for mentorship and learning</li><li>Staff discounts on all our natural products</li><li>Opportunity to grow into a larger marketing or creative role as the brand expands</li></ul><p>To Apply:<br><br>Send a short note introducing yourself, along with a few examples of any creative work you've done (social posts, videos, school projects, etc.).
