Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Construction Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry while supporting project teams with various on-site tasks. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, physically capable, and committed to maintaining a safe work environment. Prior construction experience is a plus but not required; a strong work ethic and willingness to assist are essential.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of construction sites, including moving materials and tools
- Support skilled tradespeople with tasks such as measuring, cutting, and assembling materials
- Operate basic hand tools and equipment under supervision
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency
- Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment at all times
- Help with loading and unloading supplies and equipment as needed
- Perform general labor duties to support ongoing construction projects
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure project timelines are met
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods
- Strong attention to safety procedures and protocols
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and materials is advantageous but not required; training will be provided
- Reliable transportation to job sites is preferred
- Prior experience in construction or related fields is a plus but not mandatory; eagerness to learn is essential
