<p><b>Company Description</b></p><p>Braemar College is a private secondary school located in downtown Toronto. Our programs are designed to ensure students realize their academic, personal, and social potential. The college provides comprehensive support to help each student gain admission to universities and colleges across North America and other countries.</p><p><br></p><p><b>Part-time: Computer Science</b></p><p><b>Period 1:</b> 1:00 pm to 3:45 pm. (Monday to Friday)</p><p><b>Term 3:</b> Feb 2 -Apr 13, 2026 (with the possibility of extension)</p><p><br></p><p><b>Responsibilities and Duties</b></p><ul><li>Preparation of daily lesson plans, course outlines, and unit plans; preparation and presentation of classes, labs, and fieldwork;</li><li>Support and supervision of students; preparation and correction of examinations;</li><li>Tracking attendance, assigning homework, grading assignments, giving feedback, and communicating effectively with students at all levels;</li><li>Participation in departmental meetings and required professional activities and deadlines;</li><li>Ongoing Assessment and Evaluation according to Growing Success;</li><li>Regular classroom duty;</li><li>Extra-curricular participation, willing to run a club or participate in student activities a couple of hours per week.</li></ul><p><b>Requirements & Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>Energetic, patient, and an expert at communicating with international students;</li><li>Self-motivated and organized;</li><li>Effective teamwork skills;</li><li>Fluency in English, both oral and written, is required.</li><li>Professional with attention to detail.</li><li>Apt in technical skills with educational software to deliver classes smoothly and creatively</li></ul><p><b>Education and experience</b></p><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Education, computer science, or related field;</li><li>OCT certified (or eligible to become OCT);</li><li>Experience working in a secondary school setting;</li><li>TESL or ESL AQ certification is an asset.</li><li>Working with an LMS like CANVAS/Brightspace.</li><li>Familiar with Markbook, PowerSchool, Canvas, Google Classroom, Myblueprint, and Turnitin.</li></ul><p><b>Benefits</b></p><ul><li>Ongoing teacher training</li><li>Professional Development</li><li>100% subvention for AQs</li><li>Health & Dental coverage (after 3 months)</li><li>Luncheons</li><li>Holiday dinners</li><li>Collaborative and respectful work environment.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>The <b>expected compensation range</b> for this position is:</p><ul><li><b>$50.00 - $65.00 per instructional hour</b></li></ul><p>Compensation is structured on a <b>per-course contract basis</b>, with total instructional hours defined by the academic timetable.</p><ul><li> The final rate within this range will be determined based on <b>qualifications, certifications (e.g., OCT), and relevant teaching experience</b>.</li></ul><p>Braemar College may use artificial intelligence tools to assist with the drafting and administration of job postings. <b>All candidate screening, shortlisting, interviewing, and hiring decisions are conducted exclusively by members of the Braemar College hiring team.</b> AI tools are not used to evaluate, assess, or interview candidates.</p>
