We have over 500 employees and work with over 400 individuals throughout the Lower Mainland.<strong></strong></p><p></p><strong>About the Opportunity</strong><p>Your role as a Community Living Counsellor at Pottery Works Studio you will be providing support and actively engaging a supported individual to live a fulfilling and increasingly independent life. You are a motivated and outgoing person with a passion to for person-centered supports. You will be will be supporting individuals with creating pottery and help with the day to day flow of the studio. You will also support individuals in venturing into the community with their work and periodically setting up shows and sales. </p><p>As the successful candidate, you will have lots of energy, have the ability to think on your feet and juggle many tasks in a busy studio environment, all while not minding getting your hands dirty. </p>Available Positions<p><strong>Position #1 - Relief (REC-705)</strong></p><p><ul><li><p>Monday to Friday (8:30am - 3pm)</p></li></ul></p><ul></ul><strong>About You</strong><p>You are interested in supporting others and show an understanding of the person-centered and active support approach. Additionally, you have the following requirements: </p><strong><em>Required: </em></strong><ul><li>First Aid and CPR Certificate</li><li>Clear criminal record (paid by CLS)</li><li>Skills with Pottery, Ceramics, or Painting</li></ul><strong><em>Assets:</em></strong><ul><li>Experience high behavioral support</li><li>Prior paid or volunteer experience</li><li>Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training</li><li>Mandt System® </li><li>Knowledge of Person Centered Active Supports </li></ul><strong><br />Our Commitment to You</strong><p>We make significant investments in our people, which is why we take great care to hire those who we believe will thrive in CLS over the long term.
