<p>Job Overview<br><br>We are seeking a motivated and friendly Barista / Cashier to join our team. You'll be the first point of contact for customers—offering great service, preparing drinks, handling transactions, and helping maintain a clean and welcoming space for our guests. Your ability to communicate effectively and manage time will contribute to a positive experience for our customers.</p><p>Duties & Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Greet customers warmly and take orders in a friendly, professional manner.</li><li>Prepare espresso-based drinks, teas, smoothies, and other beverages following company recipes and quality standards.</li><li>Provide accurate information about menu items, desserts, and pastries to assist with customer selections.</li><li>Upsell or recommend products to enhance the customer experience and boost sales.</li><li>Handle transactions accurately using the POS system, ensuring proper cash handling procedures.</li><li>Maintain a clean and organized front counter, coffee station, and seating area.</li><li>Clean and sanitize tables, counters, and customer areas throughout the day.</li><li>Restock pastries, cups, milk, napkins, and other daily supplies as needed.</li><li>Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth, efficient daily operations.</li><li>Follow all food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards consistently.</li><li>Take orders accurately (in-store, phone, and through delivery apps).</li><li>Must be able to commute easily or reside nearby (Ajax area).</li></ul><p>Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent</p><p>Pay: $17.60 per hour</p><p>Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week</p><p>Work Location: In person</p>
