<p><b>Job Title:</b> Assistant Superintendent - Wood-Frame Construction</p><p><b>Location:</b> Burnaby, BC</p><p><b>Industry:</b> Construction (Residential & Institutional)</p><p><b>Employment Type:</b> Full-Time, Permanent</p><p><b>Company:</b> Confidential Client (Represented by Skyline Recruitment)</p><p><b>Salary Range:</b> $100,000 - $120,000 + Bonus & Benefits</p><p><br></p><p>About the Opportunity</p><p>Skyline Recruitment is partnering confidentially with a leading general contractor and construction manager known for delivering high-quality <b>non-market and purpose-built rental housing</b> throughout the Lower Mainland.</p><p><br></p><p>Our client is hiring <b>two Assistant Superintendents</b> to support active and upcoming projects. These roles will work closely with experienced Site Superintendents on <b>mid-rise wood-frame developments</b>, with occasional exposure to concrete and institutional work. The company is known for promoting from within, this would suit an Assistant Superintendent willing to learn and work towards a Superintendent role. </p><p><br></p><p>Project Exposure</p><ul><li>Mid-rise (up to 6-storey) wood-frame residential buildings over parkades</li><li>Purpose-built rental and non-market housing for public and non-profit clients</li><li>Select institutional and mixed-use projects</li></ul><p><br></p><p>What You'll Be Doing</p><ul><li>Assist the Site Superintendent with daily on-site coordination and execution.</li><li>Take ownership of defined scopes such as interiors, building envelope, or MEP trades.</li><li>Help enforce site safety standards and support a respectful, compliant jobsite.</li><li>Review drawings and specifications to ensure work is completed to plan and quality expectations.</li><li>Coordinate trades, track progress, and help resolve site issues.</li><li>Support inspections, deficiencies, and turnover activities.</li><li>Contribute to maintaining schedule milestones and overall site organization.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>What We're Looking For</p><ul><li>Previous experience as an Assistant Superintendent or strong Field Coordinator on wood-frame projects.</li><li>Familiarity with multi-family residential construction sequencing.</li><li>Ability to manage trades, prioritize tasks, and communicate clearly on site.</li><li>Solid understanding of safety practices and site documentation.</li><li>Willingness to work across different project locations in the Lower Mainland.</li><li>Red Seal Carpentry or construction-related education is an asset.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Why This Role</p><ul><li>Join a contractor with long-term stability and consistent project backlog.</li><li>Work on meaningful housing projects with experienced site leadership.</li><li>Clear development path toward Superintendent roles.</li><li>Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits.</li><li>Strong workforce planning that minimizes downtime between projects.</li></ul><p></p>
