As an institution committed to fostering an inclusive and transformative learning environment, UNBC values high quality and growth in both teaching and scholarship.</p><p>The Social Work education at UNBC includes a BSW and MSW degrees (MSWF (Foundation), MSWA (Advanced), and Indigenous Child and Youth Mental Health (ICYMH) Graduate Certificate), emphasizing social justice, Indigenous, and anti-oppressive approaches to working with communities, families, and individuals. The program incorporates critical social thinking and emphasizes social work in northern and remote communities, practice with Indigenous peoples, women in human services, and community practice and research, integrating practice, policy, and research.
