Join to apply for the Application Support Analyst role at RBC.

This is the opportunity to join a fast-moving IT team that supports the IT operations of a software system (Charles River Investment Management System), which is used by investment managers for order management, trading, compliance, reporting and settlement.

What will you do?

• Rotational morning shift, rotational on-call duty and rotational holiday duty
• Diagnosing user reported software UI issues (front end displays, data issue, etc)
• Investigate and resolve data issue by looking at automated batch job logic
• Provide ad-hoc report using advanced SQL
• Perform Database refresh in lower environments
• User privilege management
• Provide effective and timely communication of application status to stakeholders

What do you need to succeed?

Must have:

• Proficiency with Microsoft SQL (DDL, DML, DCL, DQL, and TCL)
• Working knowledge of Windows Server, Operating System Admin, CMD commands
• Experience with cloud Technology (OpenShift, Azure)
• Strong analytical, problem solving, decision making, and documentation skills

Nice-to-have:

• Prior hands-on expertise with the Charles River application
• Trading life cycle knowledge
• ITIL foundation training
