The Accounting Manager has overall responsibility for maintaining and balancing all accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies. This position reports to the CEO.</p><p><br /></p><p><b><strong>MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></b></p><p>· Responsible for both Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, Invoicing, Payroll, WCB/WSIB, and CRA paperwork.</p><p>· Ensure the company&#39;s bookkeeping is accurate and up-to-date.</p><p>· Compliance with tax regulations, filing and payments.</p><p>· Support cashflow management.</p><p>· Involvement in any future new system implementations.</p><p>· Responsible for some of the office duties for head office.</p><p>· Perform a variety of administrative functions including data entry, filing, credit card management, and portal management.</p><p>· Coordinate and communicate effectively with team members and other departments / branches.</p><p>· Performs other tasks as may be assigned from time to time.</p><p><b><strong>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></b></p><p>· Provide ongoing leadership to the Accounting department including direct supervision of the team, handling performance evaluations and providing input to salary reviews.</p><p>· Work closely with Human Resources during the recruiting and interviewing process of new employees.</p><p>· Responsible for departmental orientation and training of employees.</p><p>· Build, motivate and retain a team that consistently meets the required deadlines.</p><p><br /></p><p><b><strong>QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:</strong></b></p><p><b><strong>Education:</strong></b></p><p>· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting</p><p><br /></p><p><b><strong>Required <span >Training/Experience:</span></strong></b></p><p>· 8+ years of accounting experience</p><p>· 3+ years of staff management experience is required</p><p><br /></p><p><b><strong>Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:</strong></b></p><p>· Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)</p><p>· Strong English communication skills - written and verbal</p><p>· Detail-oriented</p><p>· Strong organizational skills</p><p>· Strong interpersonal skills - ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships</p><p>· Ability to prioritize tasks, able to meet tight deadlines with the ability to multi-task</p><p>· Knowledge of Sage 50 an asset</p><p>· Salesforce knowledge an asset</p><p><br /></p><p>If this opportunity appeals to you, then please send your resume to us.
